Images feature the powhiri at Mangahanea marae, with the Maori Queen, Te Arikinui Te Atairangikaahu, and other manuhiri from Waikato coming onto the marae, as the challengers (including Sonny Waru and Whio Motu) perform the wero. Also included are kapa haka performers, a brass band, and spectators, including children. The wharekai and church are visible in the background.
