Description: Green buckram bound certificate with the words "Certificate under Christchurch Ciy By-Law no. 1" on front cover. This certificate could also be used for a motor cycle, but that option has been crossed out in this example. The certificate cost 10 shillings. Herbert Macintosh was Christchurch chief traffic inspector.
