Description: 16 scenes of the Helsinki Olympics: four of the opening ceremony; five of the high diving in a stadium with pine trees in the background; a woman in a New Zealand Olympic team jacket going through some letters; the same woman and another team member; a woman in the New Zealand Olympic team shot putting possibly in training; a men's track event; and three blurred shots one of which may be an olympic medal in a box. Citius, altius, fortius (faster, higher, stronger) can be seen on the large scoreboard in the main stadium and this is the motto of the Olympic Committee. Photographer unidentified. The diving pool was originally built for the 1940s Olympics which were cancelled because of World War Two (source Merja Vilen of the Sports Museum of Finland).
