Description: Cartoon by Ronald Edwin Kennedy depicting an All Black rugby player with a black eye and a bandage on his face rubbing his fists as he says "Of course, we got lots of practice in Wales". A newspaper clipping glued top right has the headline "All Blacks win award" and the text reads "Newport (NZPA) - The All Blacks have won the prestige award for the team doing most for Ulster sport in 1972". Refers to the All Blacks tour in 1972-73 with test matches against England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and France and provisional games. This included playing Ulster on 18 November 1972 at a time when there was great unrest in Ulster and English, Welsh and Scottish rugby teams did not play there. Also refers to All Black player Keith Murdoch who was sent home in disgrace due to his violent behaviour following an All Blacks win in Wales. The bottom scene shows a man explaining to the International Court that the conflict is about rugby and the fighting only occurs when New Zealand plays Wales so the fault is he wants to charge Wales with Gross Provocation. In the first he is calmly watching the general election result of 25th November, in the second the All Blacks are beating Wales at Cardiff Arms Park on December 3rd and in the third Norman Kirk is riding a landslide of rocks but in the last the man is chewing his fingers and looking anxious as he watches an All Black clinging on to a cliff in a 'cliffhanger'.
