Bennett, Simon, 1963-

Producer and director. Early career was in theatre as a freelance director before completed a television directors training course in 1995, and moved into television drama. Produced and directed television shows for South Pacific Pictures, including ‘Shortland Street’ and ‘Outrageous Fortunes’. Co-founded the New Zealand Actors’ Company in 2000 before returning to South Pacific Pictures and becoming Head of Drama. Became a freelance producer and director in 2009.
