Prominent buildings visible are the Bank of New Zealand front right, and the Exchange building, with tower, on the left. The now-called Stewart Dawsons corner is in view on the left. Description: Display board with montages of photographic prints on both sides. Images show people and scenes taken circa 1930s-circa 1940s, mainly in the Wellington city area, but also in the wider Wellington region. The board may have been created by the Evening Post. Description: Poster advocating safe road-crossing by pedestrians shows a photograph of a rooster standing on the yellow mat on the footpath where pedestrians may cross. He stands amonst the legs of human pedestrians waiting to cross. The chicken and the yellow mat are shown in colour but the other pedestrians are in black and white. The poster is likely to have been produced as a result of several accidents involving pedestrian and buses in inner city streets, after a 2012 reconfiguration of these streets, making some two-way instead of one-way, and vice-versa.
