Description: Photographs of New Zealand and Australian troops in front of the Notre Dame and another building in Paris. They are accompanied by women in dark uniforms with stripes at the collar. Three photographs of women: one looking at a pocket watch and one in a large broad-brimmed hat (in post card format taken by Royal Studio) and the face of a woman cut out and stuck on to card. Quantity: 2 b&w photo-mechanical print(s). 3 b&w original photographic print(s). Provenance: Mr Romanovsky found them in the back of an encyclopaedia in a second hand shop.

Contains photographs relating to the Bibby family taken between 1872 and 1990, including: Scenes at 11 Rose Street, Waipawa; Portraits of members of the Bibby family, including James Woodhouse Bibby, Mary Glover Bibby, Thomas Bibby, Hugh Bibby, Tui Bibby, and Basil Bibby; A portrait of members of the Hutchinson family, taken circa 1917; Mary Glover Bibby and sons James and Edward, taken circa 1872; Ann (Nan) Bibby and "Pet", the horse, taken circa 1908; Members of the Bibby family at Hugh Bibby's funeral, taken 1987. Description: Photographic postcards of Wellington and Rotorua taken circa 1940s. Three taken by Royal Studios and two by Heaton Clairemont Peart. Photographers of other images unidentified. Wellington City views are taken from Mount Victoria and Tinakori Hill. Prominent landmarks seen in these photographs include the National War Memorial and Carillon, Wellington High School, Basin Reserve cricket ground, Wellington East Girls' College, Wellington College, Winter Show Buildings, Weir House, Wellington Whares, St Gerard's Church, Basin Reserve, Wellington Railway Station, and the road to the Hutt Valley. In Rotorua sites photographed include Whakarewarewa with pa (whare and carvings) and hot pools (including Maori women washing clothes), Government Gardens Bath House and entranceway, Ward Bath house, top of Eagle's Nest geyser at Wairakei, and the shore at Lake Rotorua. Description: Photographic prints of a studio portrait of Alton, Hamilton, and Robert Nimmo, circa 1930s, by Royal [?] Studios, Wellington; and a group portrait of staff from Ivory Brothers Ltd with Arthur Clements, at Springside Farm, Ohariu Valley, at a tractor demonstration, circa 1950, taken by Photo News Ltd, Wellington. This group portrait is of Ivory Brothers 'Machinery Agents' from Petone. The men in the portrait include: T Croft, W Faloon, J Furlong, L Ransom, A Clements, W Toomey, L Wales, A Loggy, and D Shadbolt. All of the men except for Arthur Clements are dressed in white overalls, and stand in front of a tractor and machinery, with tents and hills in the background. Title supplied by Library. Quantity: 2 b&w original photographic print(s). Physical Description: Two black and white photographic prints, one mounted on card. Provenance: Michael is the son of Arthur Clements and has a distant familial relationship with the Nimmo family.
