Description: Mailed flyer shows a photograph of a Holden Sedan and a Holden Station Sedan parked outside a house. It explains how overseas funds could be used to buy and import a car from Australia to New Zealand. A special feature of the car is its "hydra-matic automatic transmission" for changing gears. The verso shows an illustration of an Australian-assembled Holden Sedan being loaded on to a ship in Sydney to come to New Zealand (the harbour bridge is in the background). Description: Cartoon shows a cartoon in the form of a certificate for the Neddy Award 1983, picturing Robert Muldoon as King Cannot in a chariot drawn by a Holden car, beating exhausted racehorses to the finish line. Presumably he won by a narrow margin, the size of a bumper bar to protect vehicles from kangaroos. The Closer Economic Relations free trade agreement with Australia was signed in 1983. Description: The cartoon consists of 3 vignettes. In the first the 'official explanation' of the word Fonterra is given as 'fon', Latin for spring and flowing, and 'terra' meaning earth. The cartoon shows cows being swept down a hill in a landslide caused by a rainstorm. In the second vignette a new vehicle is shown. It is a 'new olden fonterra ute' with udders protruding from the cabin. In the third vignette a man reading a proof has circled the 't' in Fonterra calling it a 'font error'.
