Includes photographs of floral tributes to Zillah prior to her departure; embarkation in Wellington July 1931; Voyage to Sydney; Sydney parks, buildings, zoos, beaches; Dixon family in Sydney; Melbourne gardens, buildings; Adelaide buildings, parks, gardens; King's Park, Perth, buildings, opening pearls, Serpentine Falls and Western Australian aboriginals; Colombo, Ceylon, catamarans, coconut palms, native quarters, rickshaws, High cast Indian girl; Aden; Red Sea; Suez Canal; Bedoin Sheik; Ismalia; Port Tewfik; Port Said; Voyage on 'Balranald'; Fancy dress and deck tennis, and lifeboat drills on ship; Australian heavyweight George Cook training on ship; Malta; Gibraltar; Spainish coast; First sight of England, Chalk cliffs of Dover. Description: Programme booklet lists the talks and lectures to be presented as part of this exhibition of medieval manuscripts in Melbourne, Australia. Amongst the items on display was the Alexander Turnbull Library's volume containing "De Musica" by Boethius, and "Micrologus" by Guido of Arrezzo. Dr Ruth Lightbourne of the Turnbull Library was one of the listed speakers, on Friday 28 March 2008. This collection also includes an invitation to the opening of "The medieval imagination" at the State Library of Victoria, on 27 March 2008. Also included are 2 copies of a flier promoting the 2008 Foxcroft lecture, "The hand in the machine; facsimiles, libraries and the politics of scholarship" given by Professor David McKitterick of the University of Cambridge, on 26 March 2008.
