Description: The Wairoa being towed into Port Chalmers by two tugboats, the funnel amidships being that of the second tugboat. Photograph taken by David Alexander De Maus in 1890s? In this image she is rigged as a barque, though according to Alan Bott in "The sailing ships of the New Zealand Shipping Co", and "Crossed flags" by W A Laxon et al. she was not reduced to a barque until 1897, after she had been purchased by a Norwegian company and renamed "Winnipeg".
