Description: Comprises scores of two different arrangements by Jenny McLeod of the national anthem `God defend New Zealand'. The orchestral arrangement is described on the front page as "a chorale prelude in the style of J S Bach (plus bass guitar + drums to be added ad lib in the tutti sections)". The vocal score is referred to as the "Joplin version" and includes parts for lead vocal in the style of Janis Joplin, chorus, guitar, and drums. Only the English text of the anthem is used. Includes copies of letters from Radio New Zealand contracting the Bach Choir to record these arrangements, including with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. Also note from Jenny McLeod to Radio New Zealand executive Ranald McDonald, and some loose notes. Part of the Archive of New Zealand Music.
