Direen, Bill, 1957-

New Zealand musician and composer from Christchurch. Part of the band Vacuum in 1977, Six Impossible Things in 1980 and Soloman's Ball in 1981. Later front man for bands Bill Direen And The Bilders, Bilders, and Builders, Direen's first solo album 'Beatin Hearts' was released in August 1983 by the Flying Nun Record Label. Direen continues a variety of creative collaborations, writing, recording and releasing music, along with literature, poetry and theatre work.
