Description: Album of mounted newspaper cuttings, holograph letters and greeting cards, with typescript transcriptions, relating to the 1st Earl, John Henry Rushworth Jellicoe and his wife Florence Gwendoline Jellicoe (nee Cayzer). Many of the cuttings relate to the farewell visit of Lord and Lady Jellicoe to Wanganui in 1924. The correspondence from Lord and Lady Jellicoe to Gibbons from the years 1924 to 1936, is accompanied by typescript transcriptions. Holograph letters on various printed letterheads, including "Criterion Hotel, New Plymouth", and "Government House, Wellington", and from after their departure from New Zealand "P & O. S. N. Co. S.S. [Mongolia]", "Grand Hotel Helovan", "St Lawrence Hall, near Ventnor, Isle of Wight", "Les Bergues Geneve", and "Reid's Palace Hotel, Funchal, Madeira". Also includes Christmas and New Year greeting cards for 1924-1925, with mounted photograph captioned "Special Service Squadron entering Auckland Harbour, 1924"; Christmas 1931, 1932, 1933, and undated.
