Description: Includes 16 "Birds of New Zealand" covers (from Buller) stapled into one booklet; and seven loose sheets from "Ships of New Zealand" stationery, courtesy of Shaw Savill and Albion Ltd. The "Birds" covers have a decimal currency conversion table on verso, indicating a date of 1967-1968. Birds include: New Zealand pigeon, South Island kaka, huia, white eye and bellbird, Paradise duck, North & South Island kokako, pukeko, kakapo, harrier, godwit, morepork, weka, black fantail and pied fantail, bittern, NZ dotterel and banded dotterel, shining cuckoo. Ships include: Crusader (sailing ship 1865-1910), Dominion Monarch (1938-1962), Southern Cross (built 1954), Dunedin (sailing ship built 1874), Northern Star (launched 1961), Athenic (built 1902), Arawa (built 1884), Ceramic (built ca 1947).
