Description: Wellington City traffic department's fleet of motorcycles lined up outside the Town Hall, Wakefield Street, Wellington, taken 23 February 1961 by Hall Raine Studios. Shows traffic officers sitting on the 16 650 cc motorcyles, with City Council traffic superintendent Mr J Anderson standing at the far left. Original Evening Post caption reads: "Photographed outside the Town Hall today are the City traffic department's fleet of 16 650 cc motor-cycles, which the council has just exchanged for the old fleet. The machines are used by the traffic officers for a year, then exchanged for new ones. On the extreme left is the City Council traffic superintendent (Mr. J. Anderson)."
