Includes: Three images, taken by John Jagers, of an evening dinner/gathering inside a hall (perhaps in relation to a Mr & Mrs Plimmer? - from a sign on one of the tables). Groups of men, women and children are seated at long tables; One image taken by Spencer Digby of Mr A G Wells; Three images taken by Dennis Hodgson, one of an unidentified vicar, one of [Mrs?] Plimmer, and one of St Barnabas Church; Six images by unidentified photographer(s): one of Duff Daysh, one of a working party around the church, one of St Barnabas and surrounding Khandallah houses, one of St Barnabas' interior, two showing groups of children (some of the boys are in uniform and wear caps with a `K' and a `S' interlocked, Khandallah School?); One photographic copy of a line drawing (artist unknown) depicting St Barnabas' Church. An Anglican church founded about 1900 and part of the Wellington Diocese. Since ca 1891 services had been held near the Simla Crescent railway station. Two vestry books are missing (ca 1930s-1940s); possibly in the Diocesan collection. Description: Comprises several photographs of Sir Arthur Telford Donnelly and William Ian McLaren Donnelly, including images relating to Arthur Donnelly's occupation as Crown Solicitor and his service in World War I, and Ian Donnelly's work as a journalist. Most photographs taken by unidentified photographers between 1914 and 1955; identified photographers include Standish & Preece, and Spencer Digby Studios. Some colour photographic prints added by the Donnelly family circa 2019. Includes photographs of Ian Donnelly in his capacity as a journalist, and with members of the Donnelly family, possibly his own children. Arthur Telford Donnelly was appointed Crown Solicitor for Christchurch in 1921, and became chairman of the Bank of New Zealand in April 1937.
