Present at the completion of the second dam at Karori Reservoir 1908. Delegate at NZ Employers' Federation 7th Annual Conference, 1909. Member of St Peter's vestry ca Dec 1911. Second son of J. Ballinger. Died in 1929 aged 76 years. See obituary - Otago Daily Times, 20 February 1929, page 9.
