Description

Letter from Hamuera Pakaiahi to William Colenso addressed "Ki te Kopi Kia te Koreneho Minita", dated "Okotopa 17 1847" writing from Hurunuiorangi in the Wairarapa. He says he cannot go to Te Kopi, as he is too busy with "mahi oranga". Also mentions the surveying of land in the Remutaka area, and that Te Aukarere was going to hunt birds. Tamati is also mentioned, saying he will take food to the Pākehā.
