Digital photographs taken by Dylan Owen on 8 December 2015 of the presentation of a petition organised by Otorohanga College school students and supporters calling for an commemoration day for those killed in the New Zealand Wars. Includes views of MPs Nanaia Mahuta and Te Ururoa Flavell speaking, Kura Moeahu, Senior Maori Advisor Parliament, speaking (with Maggie Barry, Minister of Arts, Culture, and Heritage, Rhiannon Magee, Tai Jones, and Waimarama Anderson behind), kaumatua and kuia seated listening, schoolgirls in uniform and wearing piupiu, Maori men in traditional dress and red bodypaint performing a haka, petition organisers Leah Bell, Waimarama Anderson, and Tai Jones (left to right) being interviewed by media, and Te Arataura chair Rahui Papa and delegation at Parliament.
