Colley, William Edward, 1886-1970: Studio portraits of Miramar Aces Baseball Club International League

Two studio photographic black and white prints of the Miramar Aces Baseball Club International League. One of the 1940-41 team identified as 'N.Z. Champion Club Team, Winners, Wgtn. Club Championships, & Wgtn. Knock Out Cup' taken by Crown Studios, Cuba Street, Wellington. The other of the 1943-1944 team identified as the 'International League' taken by Mabel Tustin Studio, 30 Courtenay Place, Wellington.

Both prints are mounted on card with the names of the team members listed at the bottom of the mount. Two individual portraits of 'missing' members are included on either side of the main photograph with names and title listed below their individual portrait.

In both photographs the teams are arranged so that the front row is seated and the second row is standing behind them. They are pictured with various cup and trophies they had been awarded as well as baseball bats and balls.

Players of the 1940-1941 team are pictured in their uniforms (excluding the Secretary and President who are in suits) with an award ribbon pinned to their chests.
