Recording of an event held on 2 July 2004 to celebrate the award by Susan Price of a $20,000 scholarship to Kate De Goldi, to help support her while writing a book about international children's literature. The speakers are Susan Price, National Librarian Penny Carnaby and Kate De Goldi.
The Susan Price Collection of 19,000 children's books was donated to the National Library of New Zealand in 1991, but it continues to be housed and curated by Susan Price at her home in Wellington.
