Description

Interviews John Mansfield Thomson about his collection of papers held by the Turnbull Library. There is a large series of correspondence with family, friends and colleagues in music, publishing, literature, broadcasting, exhibitions, music printing and the arts in general. Many of the correspondents are national or international figures including Howard Mayer Brown, Eric Crozier and Douglas Lilburn. Describes his role as founder of the journal `Early music' and discusses over twenty years of editorial files. Also discusses other books and publications with which he was involved as editor, author or contributor.
