Photographic prints relating to John Reece Cole, his family, friends, and professional life. Apart from one image taken circa 1890s, the photographs were taken between 1916 and 1989. Photographs were taken by various photographers including Delys Reed and John Reece Cole. Some photographers are unknown.

Also portraits of Cole standing on the nearby beach; in the Wellington Botanic Gardens; and outside his mother's house in Palmerston North. Delys Reed features in many photographs.
