Two photographs of 'The Prince of Wales', Edward Duke of Windsor, seated on top of a carriage at Otira during a tour of the West Coast in 1920, taken by an unidentified photographer.
The caption inscriptions on the reverse of both images are in the same hand, and state:
- 'Prince of Wales' Otira
- Prince waving 'Farewell' Otira - time coaching
The royal visit of the Prince of Wales to Otira took place in the afternoon on 13 May 1920. See 'The Prince of Wales West Coast tour ended, overland journey to Christchurch, scenery greatly admired', Otago Daily Times (issue 17935), 14 May 1920, page 5.
