Cartoon depicts a couple and their cat sitting on the roof of their house surrounded by floodwater. They see two boats of people wearing red or green jackets coming to their rescue. The man says it is "politicians to the rescue..must be an election..". Refers to Labour Party promises of flood protection work in Christchurch and to establish a special Earthquake Court to speed up insurance claims. The Green Party has promised home insulation with funding earmarked for Christchurch homes. Flockton Basin in Christchurch is flood prone.
