Records of New Zealand Choral Federation, including minutes, correspondence, financial and membership records, annual reports, email correspondence and funding applications. Includes papers related to NZCF projects ACD Conducting, The Classic Sing, Sing Aotearoa, The Big Sing and The Kids Sing. Also includes magazines of NZCF, DVDs and other materials.
Collection follows the New Zealand Choral Federation from its first meetings in 1984 up till 2012, giving a detailed history of the organisation. Shows the development of choral singing in New Zealand with the establishment of events like The Kids Sing, The Big Sing and The Classic Sing. The records are fairly complete, however they do become less complete for 2009-2012.

Photographs include scenes of the mountain sing event on Mt Ruapehu and the powhiri on Maungarongo Marae. People pictured include New Zealand Choral Federation organisers Greg Tata and Graham Hoffman, Willi Gohl and Sir Edmund Hillary. Arrangement: Ten black and white photographs in an acid-free envelope are inserted into the front cover of the album Sing Aotearoa 1990 was the inaugural Sing Aotearoa festival. It was held over Labour Weekend, 19th-22nd October 1990, in Ohakune. The patrons of this event were Dame Kiri Te Kanawa and Sir Edmund Hillary.
