From within a doghouse labelled Cunliffe two menacing eyes stare out. Over the fence there are discussions within the Labour Caucus, with one person saying "Whaddya reckon? Time to unleash the pitbull?" Refers to the leadership contest for the Labour party following the resignation of David Shearer. Cunliffe announced he was a likely contender, and the cartoonist contrasts his reputation with that of Shearer, the 'nice guy' of politics.
