Processing information: It is likely that these papers were originally from the same provenance as the earlier acquisition of James Cowan papers MS-Papers-0039 which came from the Cowan family. Because the exact provenance of this collection was uncertain they have been identified as a separate collection but it is likely they were originally from the same source as they are James Cowan's own research papers.
