1952 - 1959
Tasman Empire Airways Ltd

Poster promoting TEAL flights to Samoa by Solent flying boat shows a foreshortened view, from a high angle, of a carved pole figure. A wagon drawn by a water buffalo passes in front of the pole, and a line of male figures in grass skirts moves in unison beyond. In the background is a group of three circular thatched huts. The TEAL logo appears at lower right.

The Solent flying boat service began in 1951, and extended to Samoa in 1952.

The poster was probably produced by W Haythorn-Thwaite Advertising Ltd.
