American President Obama described as 'The commander in Chief' is dressed in his military uniform and pointing to various medals says 'This is the Drawdown Medal for knowing when you're licked and this one's the Lyndon B Johnson for pretending that you're not'. Context - In an address declaring success against al-Qaida and the Taliban, President Barack Obama says 33,000 US troops (about one third of the US forces) will leave Afghanistan by September 2012. The cartoonist suggests that while President Obama knows he is defeated in Afghanistan, President Johnson did not admit that he was defeated in Vietnam.
