Front cover shows the Maori greeting and translation and a carved Maori lintel or pare with the centre cut out to reveal the picture on the inside. This picture is of two "Maori belles", and inside is the message: "Nga mihi o te Kirihimete me nga Tumanako Papai katoa mo te Tau Hou" (Christmas greetings and all good wishes for the New Year), na / from Jean Stevenson.
