War dance of the New Zealanders. "The third scene shows a war dance of New Zealanders, got up for the amusement of the British, who are enjoying the grotesque exhibition. Around are seated some natives in the customary cloak; and a monster mortar, belonging to the British, is shown on the right"

Internal cavern and connecting passage - within a Maori fortified pa

Group of Maories - shows four Maori men, three of them standing and one seated on the ground at the left in a cloak. One of the standing men shows tattooing of the buttocks. Two of the standing Maori are holding rifles.
