Album 1 of flora, fauna, and Maori subjects; black and white photographs taken between 1925 and 1928. Includes images of land formation and plants in the Horowhenua duneland, and the Tararua Ranges. Several images of gannets and chicks at the Cape Kidnappers gannet colony. Old war canoe Hamaria in use on Lake Horowhenua by the Taueki family in 1926 for spearing eels; Uawhaki meeting house at Waikawa, views of carved panel and tukutuku panels inside, 1926; the site of the old native flour mill on the Waitarere Stream at Poroutawhao showing remains of machinery and millstones, 1926 (mill built 1853 or 1854 under the direction of a French priest.
