Description

Programme is centrally placed and is surrounded by advertisements. Those on the front page are particularly interesting from a printing design aspect. The borders are filled with panels of engravings depicting birds and butterflies, plants and insects, and Chinese junks. Advertisers include: James J Curtis, shipping agent; James Campbell, jeweller; Ballinger Bros, corrugated iron merchants; the Duke of Edinburgh Hotel; J. E. Hayes, retailer of gas fittings; Singer sewing machines; Lonergan & Co., tailors; Central Hotel; Branch Hotel; Pier Hotel; and, Thompson, Shannon & Co.'s dissolution of partnership.
