Two Maori girls, photographed by Frank J Denton of Wanganui, circa 1900. The girl on the right has been identified as Puia Royal of Otaki, who married Walter Whiley. She was also known as Aunt Julia. Both wear feathers in their hair an piupiu around their shoulders.
