Description: A view of Collingwood between 1886 and 1891. The large building on the left with the jetty at back is the public hall and the large building, next but one is the Hotel. Dark building with verandah is F Sutton's general store. Facing camera, bootmaker (left), the next three are William C Riley's general store, then the library and museum. Right hand side of street: foreground - tiny house was a shop kept by an old one-eyed ex-whaler, John Fisher, next is the post office and residence. The two gables (partly obscured) was G Riley's Boarding House. Steamer at wharf could possibly be the Lady Barkley and sailing boat the ketch `Comet'.
