Duncan Adair holds an albino opossum which was trapped above Whiteman's Valley, taken ca 9 August 1962 by an unidentified Evening Post staff photographer
Caption - Original Evening Post caption reads: 'Duncan Adair, a 14-year-old Heretaunga College pupil, holding a dead, rare white albino opossum which was trapped above Whiteman's Valley. Mrs. J. Adair said that she knew a trapper who had not seen one in 40 years' experience. She heard that a white opossum skin once sold for £25 elsewhere in New Zealand.'
