Workmen with mobile crane relocating the gravestones of John Plimmer, Henry Blundell and Edward Gillon in Bolton Street Cemetery, alongside the Wellington Urban Motorway. Photographs taken 10 March 1979 by Evening Post staff photographer John Nicholson.
The gravestones had been in storage for a year in Karori, after being removed from, their original sites to make way for the Wellington Urban Motorway extension.
