Crowd gathered at the opening ceremony for Turongo meeting house at Turangawaewae Marae, Ngaruawahia, taken 18 March 1938 by an Evening Post staff photographer. Te Puea Herangi can be seen standing at the centre right of the image. Sir Apirana Ngata is standing at extreme left.
