Photographs, mainly of Auckland, but including some good views of Tauranga and one of Oamaru, taken between 1873 and 1876 by Herbert Deveril of Wellington. Also includes major bridges in Canturbury and Otago, government buildings and one native school.
Deveril came to New Zealand in 1873. These photographs were displayed at the Philadelphia Centenary Exhibition in 1876.
