Nineteen pages of rough sketches showing designs of carvings of Whakatane pataka; Opotiki pataka; Taurapa of Te Whanauranga canoe carved by Ihakara Tukumaru at Otaki in 1831; comb from Takaka; Kaiapoi adze helve; Monk's Cave bailer; Bailer from Pelorus Sound; Waioeka - Koruru; Waioeka Pare; Rotoiti pataka. All appear to have been copied from museum specimens or books
