The cartoon shows a man and a woman shipwrecked on a tiny Pacific island. The woman hopes that the man is using his computer to email for help but he is checking out the new Waikato section of Te Ara, the online encyclopaedia of New Zealand. Refers to the launch of New Zealand's Te Ara online encyclopedia Waikato 'Places' entry. Jock Phillips was appointed General Editor of the Encyclopedia of New Zealand in May 2002. Work began on the project in July 2002.
