A poster promoting a performance by Clement May. The recto shows caricatures of Mr May in various Dickensian characterisations (Micawber, Nell's Grandpa, Sydney Carton, Scrooge and Uriah Heep). The verso indicates that this poster was prepared to be sent to members of the Savage Club, and that Clement May was a Savage Club member. His performance was to be accompanied by Miss Hilda Chudley, pianist and singer of Negro spirituals.
