Group at Pawhakairo, Hawkes Bay, taken in 1869 or 1871 by an unknown photographer. Copy negative made by Samuel Carnell of Napier, probably in the 1880s.
Marginal note on 1/4-022225 (same image) indicates original was taken 1869 at Waiohiki Pa, Pawhakairo.
Marginal note on 1/4-022075 (same image) indicates original taken at Waiohike [sic] Pa in 1871. Copy negative dated from use of dry plate process. Similar image held by Te Papa.
