Photographs taken on a holiday with friends on Mount Ruapehu in 1958. The photographs focus on people as they rest between bouts of skiing, viewing Crater lake, gather outside a hut, or construct an igloo.
There are views of the snow covered peaks of Ruapehu and the countryside seen from the mountain. Several images show the white flowered native clematis supported by a young lancewood.
