The scene shows an African village in Kenya. A scientist in a lab coat is asking two women whether their children's health is benefitting from eating the dog-food supplement that has been sent to them from New Zealand. A small boy is sitting on the ground eating from a tin labelled 'NZK9'. One of the women says he has never been fitter and the other says that it is impossible to tell whether the food has all the right vitamins but the boy chases cats all day. The reference is to the fact that a New Zealand woman whose company specializes in dog food, decided that she could help starving Kenyan children with a supplement that used some of the same ingredients as the dog food. There has been a diplomatic row over cultural insensitivity.
