J.G. Edwards, M.P. for Napier, is reported as saying that liquor licences should be granted to establishments that are not luxury-style restaurants. A merry patron of Pete's Nite Eatery emerges from a downtown pie-cart , which advertises pea, pie, pud & plonk on its side, as two more customers approach.
