Description: Label for packaging containing German sausage. The label states that the products of the company have won sixty awards, and that this product is "guaranteed perfectly pure of the finest material and free from all sinews and indigestable matter". Company logo at the left shows St George on horseback slaying a dragon. The word "German sausage" appears on an ornately bordered scroll. Likely to have been printed prior to 1914, when many "German" products changed their product descriptions. Quantity: 1 colour art print(s). Physical Description: Chromolithograph, 130 x 230 mm. Description: Advertising card for Oxo meat cubes has French text, and the recto shows an ethnographic scene of Maori women and children bathing in a bay, with a whare at the far right. There is an illustration of a jar of meat extract at the lower left. The verso is also in French and has the text: "Cubes Oxo donnent immediatement un bon bouillon; ameliorent les potages ... Bouillon Oxo de la Cie Liebig; consomme exquis prepare avec les matieres extractives de la meilleure viande de boeuf et dument assaisonne". ("Oxo cubes make a good broth quickly, and improve soups. Oxo broth from the Liebig Company; delicious broth prepared with extract from the best beef and appropriately seasoned") Inset text on verso: "Comme tant d'autres peuplades primitives, les Maoris, indigenes sauvages de la Nouvelle-Zelande, n'ont pu supporter sans grands dommages le contact de la civilisation moderne, car leur nombre ne cesse de decroitre. Une de leurs principales occupations etant la peche, il importe qu-ils sachent bien nager, et de leur enfance, soutenus par leurs mamans, ils s'y exercent". ("As with so many primitive peoples, the Maori, natives of New Zealand, have not been able to survive contact with modern civilisation without great losses, for their number does not cease to diminish. It emphasises the quality control, veterinary inspection and immaculate cleanliness exercised during the processing of the meat, "from paddock to package, from clover to can". It states that "the daily average consumption of water at the Gear Works approximates to 2,000,000 gallons, obtained from artesian wells. Quantity: 1 sales brochure..
