The cartoon shows Green MP Sue Bradford who has resigned her seat after losing the co-leadership race to Metiria Turei. She yells in agony after receiving a smart whack on the backside from the Greens whose arm protrudes from the Beehive in the background. The whack is accompanied by the words 'And it's early to bed with no supper!' Refers to Sue Bradford's decision to leave parliament for reasons to do with internal Green politics and the imbalance maybe between the social issues that are dear to Sue Bradford (like the anti-smacking Bill) and environmental issues that are the main focus of the Greens rather than mere disappointment.
