- Description
Shows a group of Maori travelling along a road or track. In front (at left) is a man walking, smoking a pipe, with a large woven kete on his back. Next on a white horse is a Maori woman also smoking a pipe, with a baby tied to her back. Behind the white horse is a grey foal. Then comes a brown horse carrying a pipe-smoking man and a small child standing on the horse's back behind him. Last comes a Maori man walking with a pig and a dog on leashes. They are passing a cabbage tree, some toetoe grass and a flax bush (all labelled).
